The Hazelwood City Council would like to recognize military veterans within our community. In addition to recognizing them at a Council meeting, we would also offer them a spot with the Mayor and City Council in the Florissant Veterans Day Parade on Sunday, November 8, 2026. Please include the following in your submission:
1. Your Name, Address, Email, and Phone Number
2. Name of Veteran, organization, or support person to be considered for an award
3. Relationship to the person/organization being considered
4. Branch of Service
5. Which Award (see list below)
6. Military Accomplishments or Support Accomplishments (just a few key career facts)
7. Community Accomplishments
• Veteran of the Year Award: An annual award recognizing a Veteran who has made significant contributions to the community or demonstrated exceptional service.
• Distinguished Service Award: For Veterans who have shown outstanding dedication in their military service or in their post-service activities, such as volunteering or community work.
• Lifetime Achievement Award: Honors a Veteran for their long-term commitment and contributions to both military service and civilian life.
• Community Hero Award: Given to a Veteran who has made notable contributions to local community projects or initiatives.
• Bravery Award: Acknowledges acts of bravery or heroism demonstrated by Veterans during their service or civilian life.
• Outstanding Leadership Award: For Veterans who have shown exceptional leadership skills, whether in military service or in their post-military endeavors.
