Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, the Prairie County Conservation District is hosting a mini field day at Tony’s Richard’s shop. The field day begins at 10 am.

The two topics being presented are feral hog trapping and prescribed burnings. There will be hog traps set up and demonstrated.

Benefits of Prescribed burnings will be discussed such as the most affective timing of burning as well as the benefits to w**d control management and the development of wildlife habitats.

A delicious lunch of jambalaya prepared by Jeffrey Reidhar will follow the presentations. Please come and join us. All are welcome.

Prescribed burning is the topic of the Mini Field Day sponsored by Prairie County Conservation District. It is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4th at 10 am and will beheld at Tony Richards shop north of Des Arc.

Prescribed burning is a step in the soil prep for pollinators, wild life habitat preparation. Please join us and learn about prescribed burning!
