Today, Jeff Davis Hospital hosted an OB/Neonatal Simulation Training, providing Emergency Delivery and Neonatal Stabilization education for our Emergency Department staff and community partners.
This hands-on training prepares our team to confidently manage unexpected laboring patients, emergency deliveries, and the stabilization of both mother and newborn until transfer to a higher level of care can be arranged. As a hospital without in-house OB services, this education is essential to ensuring the highest level of care for our patients when every second counts.
A special thank you to our outstanding instructors and partners:
• Jennifer Butler, MSN, RN-NIC, C-EFM, Neonatal Outreach Coordinator, Memorial Health University Medical Center
• Lauren Hinely, BSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, Perinatal Outreach Coordinator, Memorial Health University Medical Center
• Joseph Slattery, BS, NRP, CHSE, CHSOS, Assistant Director of Medical Simulation, Mercer University School of Medicine
• Jeff Davis County EMS
• Jeff Davis Hospital Emergency Department Staff
• Dr. Jeffery Butler
We are grateful for the dedication of these professionals who help ensure our team remains prepared to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to mothers and newborns in emergency situations.🤍
