FURRY FRIDAYS: The City of Healdsburg is partnering with Compassion Without Borders to bring attention to the abundance of adoptable dogs. Staff from the Healdsburg Fire Department offered to pose with adoptable pooches for this campaign.
Meet Dolly, an 8-year-old Doberman Pinscher with a heart of gold currently available for adoption at Compassion Without Borders. This lanky gal is incredibly affectionate. She loves bonding with her people and wants to be by your side all the day through. She loves getting petted, but is also independent enough to lay in a dog bed while you work or go about your day. She loves her toys and sunbathing in the afternoons. Despite being an older gal, Dolly has great energy and enjoys going on hikes and trail running. She is equally content simply snuggling up on the couch after taking a leisurely stroll. She is looking for a home where she can be the only dog so she can enjoy her golden years. Dolly is the kind of girl who will make you feel like the most special person in the world and she will happily be the center of yours. Dolly is posing with CalFire's Jonah Brem, a Healdsburg native who started his career in fire service in Healdsburg.
Compassion Without Borders brings brighter futures to homeless animals, by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming at-risk animals from California and Mexico in need on both sides of the border. They focus on where the need is greatest, where animals are least likely to be helped due to financial, geographic, and cultural barriers. To learn more, visit cwob.org.
