Reference: March 25th and 26th Shootings in Ardmore
Over the weekend, the patrol division responded to four shootings in Ardmore. Three of the shootings occurred on Friday, March 25th during the evening. The first shooting took place in the 700 block of Cottonwood St. NW around 8:30 pm. The suspect walked up to the front door and fired several rounds through the front door. No injuries were reported during this call. The suspects from this shooting were described as two black males wearing black and blue Nike hoodies. The suspects were driving a grey/white hatchback car.
The second shooting occurred in the 700 block of 2nd NE at about 9:00 pm. Again, the suspect walked up to the front door and started shooting through the door of the residence. One female stated she had been shot in the hip area and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The suspect in this shooting was described as a black male subject wearing a ski mask and a black Nike hoodie.
A third shooting was called in at 9:15 pm in the 4700 block of Travertine Dr. NW. In this instance, the suspect walked up to the front door and knocked. When a male subject answered the door, the suspect started shooting at the victim. Officers made contact with the male victim who was shot in the hip area. He was transported to the hospital for treatment. After reviewing security videos from the Travertine Dr. shooting, the suspect fled the scene in a grey/white hatchback vehicle.
On Saturday, March 26th at 8:15 pm, officers were dispatched to the Mercy Emergency Room for a male and a female that had gunshot wounds. Officers determined that a shooting occurred in the 300 block of I St. NE. The suspect, who was the front seat passenger of a vehicle, fired nine to ten shots from the moving vehicle and then fled the scene. The suspect was occupying a white four-door Honda car.
Due to these cases involving Native Americans, the Ardmore Police Department is assisting the FBI in the investigations. At this time, no arrests have been made in the shootings and the investigations are on-going. More information will be released as it becomes available.
