Is a 100% Volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization. We serve a large portion of south Robertson County, TX. responds to all fires including wildland, structural, and vehicle fire, as well as motor vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, odor investigations, hazardous materials releases, and technical rescue operations. was founded in 2004 as an entirely volunteer organization; and while we have g

rown tremendously in equipment, training, personnel, and our total capabilities. We remain committed to the same ideals on which the department was founded of service to our community. Our goal is to serve the community by providing the Safest, Most Skilled and Dedicated, firefighters and the most effective, and advance equipment possible to serve when and where ever the need may arise.

Today we celebrate all fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, and father figures who lead with strength, love, and dedication. Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the lessons you teach, and the example you set each and every day.

We are especially grateful for the dads who answer the call to serve their families, their communities, and their neighbors through volunteer firefighting. Your commitment and selflessness do not go unnoticed.

Today, the members of Wheelock Volunteer Fire Department pause to honor and remember the brave men and women of our United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Their courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten. As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we remember those heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy.

We are forever grateful for their service and sacrifice.

As property owners in a rural area it is very important that we stay aware and are up to date on fire safety. Even controlled burns can get out of hand. Come out and visit with other property owners and meet some volunteer firefighters that support our county.
