Today, on my 26th birthday, I am excited to officially launch my campaign as a write-in candidate for District 3 Board of Supervisors in Northumberland County, Virginia. If elected, I would be honored to serve as the youngest Supervisor in our county’s history, bringing fresh energy and forward-thinking leadership to the table.
Why I’m Running?
Northumberland County recently adopted a $49.1 million budget. This budget includes no pay raises for staff and relies on a proposed real estate tax hike to $0.74 per $100 of assessed value, along with rising vehicle taxes. At the same time, our county’s “rainy-day fund” has fallen from around 25 percent to just 5 percent of the budget. This steep decline leaves us dangerously exposed during times of economic uncertainty.
Our families, educators, and first responders deserve better.
My Priorities
✅ Champion balanced budgets that do not leave our reserves depleted
✅ Advocate for responsible spending, even as proposed cuts exceed $1.5 million in education, public safety, and administration
✅ Ensure public servants receive fair compensation, because cutting wages will not solve long-term challenges
✅ Increase transparency and citizen input so decisions are made with the community’s voice at the center
Call to Action:
I am stepping forward because I believe District 3 deserves new leadership that works smarter, not just harder, for our future. If you believe in this vision, please write in my name, share this post, and join the movement. Together, we can safeguard our county’s future and restore trust in local governance.
