Parents/Guardians,
Under the new Boone County policy, all volunteers and chaperones must complete volunteer training and a background check before volunteering at school or participating in school activities. The volunteer training is linked on our website under “Forms” and is also included below for your convenience. Background checks can be completed at the school and cost $10 check, cash or money order and be made payable to Goodridge Elementary school. To have a background check sent home with your child, please contact your child’s teacher or the front office at (859)334-4420 and ask for Julie Reffitt. Your child’s teacher can check to see if you have a current background check on file.
Persons not listed as the child’s parent, guardian or emergency contact will need the parent/guardian’s written permission given to the teacher before chaperoning or volunteering.
These requirements apply to anyone who would like to, but not limited to :
Chaperone a field trip
Volunteer at school
Parties in the classroom
Field Day
Lunchroom volunteering
Any other volunteering or chaperoning opportunities.
Both requirements must be completed before participating as a volunteer or chaperone. If both of these criteria are not met, you will not be permitted to attend Goodridge Elementary school events/trips.
Chaperone/Volunteer Training & Quiz You must get a 100% on the quiz at the end in order to qualify to volunteer/chaperone. You can take it as many times as you need.
