This month we proudly celebrated Black History Month and recognize the impact, strength, and leadership that shape our department and our community.

Shoutout to our guys FF Miller, FF Cooper-Owen and FF Silletti. (Silletti not pictures due to serving our country in the United States Army). We appreciate the dedication, professionalism, and brotherhood you bring to the job every single shift.

Black History Month is about honoring the past, recognizing progress, and continuing to build a stronger future together. We’re grateful to stand alongside you.

Airport Firefighters responded with Hebron fire district and Burlington Fire District as automatic mutual aid for a reported structure fire on Petersburg Road. Upon arrival crews encountered a single family dewling well involved with fire. Crews battled fire along with subzero temperatures. No occupants were home at the time and the cause of the fire still remains under investigation. Photo credit by Rob Stone Photography

Today we got in some Man vs. Machine training. With all the mechanical stuff we’re around all the time, it’s never a bad idea to brush up on those skills every now and then.
