REMINDER: The Village of Hecker will have a planned system-wide water outage tomorrow at 7AM. This is to perform necessary valve maintenance. We plan on restoring all services by 5PM. Please make the necessary arrangements today. You may want to stockpile some water if you are planning on being home on Monday. This might be helpful for toilet flushing, cleaning, cooking, and drinking. If you choose to store water in bathtubs or buckets, please ensure they cannot be accessible to small children. When the water is restored, there will be a system-wide BOIL ORDER in place until a series of good samples are processed. Please monitor signs at the village limits, the fire department marquee sign, village Facebook, and this email for the BOIL ORDER to be lifted. Water must be brought to a rolling boil for 5 minutes prior to being used for cooking and drinking. Please contact 618-473-2300 Ext 12 if you have any questions.
