The water works will have Bells Mill Road closed from the high school towards Mcalpin Street, to install sewer taps to the two new homes being built. We will reopen as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.

Heflin Water is working on a water line main break on Brandt Place. Brandt Place will be shut down during repairs. Water service in the north end of Heflin will be interrupted during repairs. Water service will be restored as quick as possible. Thanks for your patience.

Crews are back in town working to rehab the sewer line on 78 W from Gabe's Auto Spa to the sewer lagoon. Video Industrial is doing the work. If you see black and yellow trucks in the area, that is what is going on.

🎉 Happy New Year from Heflin Water Works & Sewer Board! 🎉
As we welcome the New Year, I want to take a moment to thank our dedicated employees for their hard work, commitment, and professionalism. Their efforts every day are what keep our water and sewer systems operating safely and reliably for our community.
2025 was an exciting and productive year for Heflin Water Works & Sewer Board. We began a major upgrade to our wastewater lagoon and started rehabilitation projects within our collection system. These improvements are being funded by over $3 million in grant funding, meaning no cost to our ratepayers.
In addition, we were awarded a $9 million grant for a new water treatment plant. We are currently working through the design phase of this important project, which will serve our community for decades to come.
Our Board of Directors remains fully committed to providing Heflin with the safest, most dependable water and sewer utilities possible, while also working hard to keep rates affordable for our customers.
Thank you to our employees, our board members, and the citizens of Heflin for your continued trust and support. We look forward to another great year serving our community.

We have a main leak on Blake St. The crew is working to fix it as fast as possible. The water on Blake St from Atkins St to Hwy 46, all of Spring St, and all of Pruitt St will be off while the repair is being made. Thanks for your patience. We will restore service as soon as possible.
