The City of Heflin & Heflin Main Street had the pleasure of hosting the Regional Trail Committee Meeting at Cahulga Creek Park.
The group shared information regarding expanding and connecting trails in the four counties that make up our watershed: Cleburne, Calhoun, Clay, and Talladega. Thank you Choccolocco Creek Watershed for facilitating these meetings for our hiking communities.

Our very own friends at WaterTower Films, based right here in Heflin, have once again partnered with Jacksonville State University to produce the documentary "My Home's in Alabama: The Randy Owen Story".

This is such a special accomplishment, and we couldn’t be more proud to see hometown talent making an impact in such a meaningful way. Congratulations to Will Payne & Kari Morrison Payne on another incredible project. Your passion for storytelling and dedication to preserving Alabama’s history and culture continue to make our community proud.

🇺🇸 City of Heflin offices will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day.

As we enjoy the holiday weekend, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙

City offices will reopen on Tuesday during regular business hours.

The City of Heflin Sanitation Schedule for Memorial Day is as follows:

Only the trash pickup on Monday will be affected during the week of May 25, 2026, through May 29, 2026. Monday's trash collection will occur on Tuesday. Pickup on Tuesday through Thursday will proceed as scheduled. Please make sure your trash can is out the night before.
