As we prepare for a hot summer ahead, protect your home from tragic accidents and fire. Plug those air conditioning units directly into a wall outlet!

Do you use a window or portable AC unit???

Each year in the United States, an average of 2,300 air conditioning fires occur in residential structures.

When using ensure it's plugged directly into a wall outlet to minimize fire risks. Steer clear of using extension cords or plug strips for appliances whether its your home or one your renting.

Ticks are very active in Montana right now. MTDPHHS is asking for your help in their surveillance efforts, and if you find a tick to please report it to them and send it to Helena for testing and identification. New species of ticks may be moving into Montana, but without widespread sampling, we will not know if they are colonizing here or were brought in from an out of area traveler. If you are interested in reporting a tick, please reach out. We have containers available to put the tick in, and are happy to help ensure it gets to Helena.

Stress hurts the physical body, and broccoli can only do so much. Don't wait until it's too late. Learn how to manage stress with deep breathing, exercise, mindfulness, lifestyle adjustments, and more.

May is mental health awareness month, and you were never meant to navigate the challenges of life alone. Talk to someone. Then take action. You are the hero of your own life, and you got this.

Stress doesn’t just affect your mind — it can affect your heart, too.

Chronic stress can impact:
⚠️ Blood pressure
⚠️ Sleep
⚠️ Energy levels
⚠️ Heart health
⚠️ Overall wellness

While stress is a normal part of life, staying in a constant state of overwhelm can take a toll on both your physical and mental health over time.

A few simple ways to help manage stress:
✔️ Get outside and move your body
✔️ Prioritize sleep
✔️ Take breaks when needed
✔️ Stay connected with people you trust
✔️ Don’t ignore your mental health

At PureView Health Center, we believe caring for your health means caring for the whole person — mind and body together.

💚 Small steps matter.
