Your voice shapes Montana’s health care. The Department of Public Health and Human Services encourages selected residents to participate in the 2026 Montana Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) survey.

Each year, randomly selected Montana adults are invited to share their experiences with health, health care access, and preventive care. Your answers directly inform public health programs, funding, and community health initiatives across the state.

If selected, you may get a call from 307-766-###X, with "University of Wyoming" showing on your caller ID. Participation is voluntary, confidential, and anonymous.
BRFSS interviewers will never ask for sensitive information such as your social security number, date of birth, Medicare number, bank info, or payment.
Questions about the survey? Contact the Montana BRFSS Program at 406-444-2973 or via email at [email protected].

Did you know WIC families can use Farmers’ Market Benefits at local markets, roadside stands, and even directly at farms?

Through the Montana Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP):
• Local farmers are authorized to accept WIC FMNP benefits
• WIC families can buy fresh, Montana-grown fruits and vegetables
• Foods like baked goods, cheese, eggs, honey, and plants are not eligible

This partnership connects young families with healthy food and supports Montana farmers at the same time. Find out if your family is eligible: https://dphhs.mt.gov/ecfsd/wic/
