🎨 Call for Artists: Memorial Park Bandshell Mural 🎨

The City of Helena is excited to announce a new opportunity for artists to leave their mark on one of Helena’s most beloved community spaces—the Memorial Park Bandshell!

This project continues a long-standing tradition of refreshing the bandshell mural, giving each generation of artists the chance to shape Helena’s visual story and celebrate our shared sense of place.

Congrats to Elise Perpignano on the beautiful new mural gracing the Lyndale tunnel! And thank you to the Helena Public Art Committee and the City Commission for keeping Helena a beautiful and vibrant arts town.

To honor 75 years since the Mann Gulch Fire, the mural was painted with three sections in mind: the North side of the tunnel offers a tribute to the Mann Gulch smoke jumpers, the tunnel interior depicts the life cycle of a forest through its flora and fauna, and the South side opens up to the bright and thriving Montana wilderness in a depiction of Gates of the Mountains.

Great progress Elise.

Artist Elise Perpignano is hard at work painting the Centennial Tunnel mural. The mural will commemorate the Mann Gulch fire and the smokejumpers who died in the fire.
