YWCA Helena YWCA Helena is a non-profit organization providing transitional housing and supportive services for homeless women and their children.

We work to eliminate the enduring disparities that disproportionally affect women and families in housing, education, health care, and nearly every institution in our country. By teaching people how to navigate these everyday systems and reach their goals — by advocating for equality in policy, communication and access to services — we create a community where everyone lives with dignity and respect.

Last week was hopping with the new furniture delivery. Our residents were offsite while MESA Movers of Helena unloaded two semis full of new household furniture. Our kitchen, group therapy/ meeting rooms, the great room, and resident rooms all received new furnishings.
The amazing folks at MESA helped unbox, assemble and place each piece. They earned each one of their 5 stars!

Part of our house flip included donating furniture and surplus items to other nonprofits. A U-haul full of essentials, clothing, and former house furnishings went to the Northern Cheyenne Food Pantry for distribution within the reservation community.

We are so grateful to for contributing to the truck rental and fuel and .red19 for helping lead the loading effort and driving the U-haul. ❤️

Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for helping us ready the YWCA for our new furniture arriving tomorrow. We anticipated at least 2-3 hours of work, and y'all made it happen in an hour and a half. This is particularly impressive since our one and only elevator was not functioning consistently. Undeterred, you braved the three flights of stairs, hauling oversized and often heavy furnishings, with smiles on your faces.
Your determination and teamwork made this very difficult task an enjoyable activity and we were able to pay it forward to three other nonprofits by donating the furnishing that were still in decent shape.
