YWCA Helena

YWCA Helena YWCA Helena is a non-profit organization providing transitional housing and supportive services for homeless women and their children.

We work to eliminate the enduring disparities that disproportionally affect women and families in housing, education, health care, and nearly every institution in our country. By teaching people how to navigate these everyday systems and reach their goals — by advocating for equality in policy, communication and access to services — we create a community where everyone lives with dignity and respect.

Our communal pantry and freezer are very low with our house at capacity. You can help the recovery process by providing even one item on the list.
Communal meals are encouraged in our kitchen. Ingredients for pasta nights, taco Tuesdays, and crockpot chili are always a hit.
Other nonperishable items such as cake mix, coffee, and snacks are always welcome.
Comfort food feeds the soul.

Two incredible outfits joined forces during Greater Helena Gives to give the gift of time to YWCA Helena.
Nearly 50 people came to help us spring clean, remove overgrowth, paint exterior handrails, organize and ready our vegetable, flower and pollinator gardens.
Thank you also to our gardening volunteer lead Deb, our loyal volunteer and master kitchen cleaner, L.M., and our board members/executive leaders who led volunteer groups. Your acts of service make the work we do possible! 🦋❤

Wear orange on 5/21 in support of International Supervised Visitation Awareness month.

We are proud to announce May 21, 2026 as the International Supervised Visitation Awareness Day.

Supervised visitation provides a safe, structured space for children and families to maintain connection during some of life’s most challenging moments. This day is about raising awareness, honoring the work being done worldwide, and uplifting the voices of the families we serve. Go orange for SV Awareness!
