🙌Congratulations to Chad Odegard on being presented with the Ron Waterman Spirit of Service Award today by United Way of the Lewis & Clark Area. 🤩

Chad has been a dedicated Helena Food Share volunteer for many years and now serves as a member of our Board of Directors. Whether he's delivering Emergency Food Packs to neighbors in need (as he was doing today!) or helping guide and support Helena Food Share through his many board responsibilities, Chad brings enthusiasm, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to our mission.

We are grateful for the countless ways Chad serves our community and helps ensure our neighbors have access to food with dignity and respect. Thank you, Chad, for your outstanding service and leadership. We think you're awesome!🧡💚

Last week, HFS's Jordan Evertz stopped by CHS to thank the Capital High Student Council for their recent food and monetary donations to HFS. 🙌 Students at Capital and Helena high schools challenged one another to help provide food support for their community, collectively raising $5,761 and donating $537 lbs of food. Capital High won this year's crosstown food support challenge. We hope it is a fun new tradition for years to come. 🏆 Way to go Bruins! 💛🤎

The generosity of the greater Helena area was on full display this past week. You contributed nearly $11,000 to Helena Food Share through the Greater Helena Gives campaign. 💚🤩 Additionally, our local letter carriers collected almost 5,000 pounds of food from mailboxes throughout the valley on Saturday. ❤️📫The donated items, including canned goods, cereal, boxed meals, and more, are essential for our Market, and your financial contributions will help us purchase other essential food items.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Helena Area Community Foundation and the National Association of Letter Carriers for making these events possible 🙌and for their support of our neighbors in need during challenging times.🧡💚

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible letter carriers and everyone who donated food during this year’s Stamp Out Hunger food drive! Together, you collected nearly 5,000 pounds of food from mailboxes across our community for the Helena Food Share Market.

We are especially grateful to the letter carriers’ union for also providing a financial donation to help ensure our shelves stay stocked for neighbors facing food insecurity.

Every can, every box, and every dollar donated helps provide nutritious food to local families, seniors, and children. Your generosity makes a real difference, and we are so thankful for this amazing community partnership.
