Fire Protection Laborer/Apprentice Needed

Locally owned and operated Fire Protection Company with multiple locations in Montana is seeking a general laborer who is a self-motivated, ambitious, interactive, communicative, detail-oriented, honest, and organized individual to perform tasks involving physical labor at project sites. A company paid apprenticeship program is available for those wanting to further their career in the fire protection industry. Under supervision of the site manager, candidate will provide support to field efforts on general construction labor sites as well as maintenance tasks. Construction experience is a plus! Starting wage is $25.00-$30.00+ per hour depending on experience.

Job Details:
• Assist crew and site manager while learning about the fire protection industry.
• Clean and prepare project sites to eliminate possible hazards.
• Operate small hand and power tools.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and blueprints is a plus!
• Capability to climb ladders and operate high lift equipment.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Must be in good physical condition and capable of working in all weather and seasonal conditions.
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, valid drivers license, and be 18 years of age or older.
• Out-of-town travel is often required. We provide housing and per-diem while working out of town as well as transportation to and from out-of-town locations.

Fire Protection Service Tech/Inspector Needed

Locally owned and operated Fire Protection Company with multiple locations in Montana is seeking a Service Tech/Inspector who is detail oriented, self-motivated, trustworthy, honest, and organized to perform service work and inspections. ABPA Backflow certification is a plus! Starting wage is competitive and depends on experience.
• Must be licensed in Montana or have the ability to become licensed in Montana which requires completing an approved apprenticeship program; Level II NICET; and ability to pass a competency test.
• Must be efficient in dry systems, wet systems, alarm valves, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to travel - out-of-town travel is required.
• Capability to work from ladders and lifts up to 40 feet or more.
• Capability to lift 80 pounds or more unassisted.
• Must be able to perform work from unusual and sometimes difficult positions.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to work occasional alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer requirements.
• Must be in good physical condition and capable of working in all weather and seasonal conditions.
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, valid drivers license, and a clean driving record – DMV records will be pulled.

We are seeking seeking a full time Fire Sprinkler Laborer/ Apprentice in the Bozeman area to perform tasks involving physical labor at project sites. Under direct supervision of project foreman, performs support to field efforts on fire sprinkler system labor and maintenance tasks and learns about fire sprinkler systems. Construction experience a plus. Starting wage is $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience. Position is for the Bozeman area, but applicants must be able to travel for work. Medical benefits and retirement IRA plan are available after 90 days of employment.

Must have or be able to obtain license in the state of Montana which requires a completed apprenticeship; Nicet 2, or other state license equivalent to Montana standards for transfer. Backflow Certified is a plus. Applicant must have experience with Dry System Valves of all types. Must be able to pass a background check and MUST have clean driving record - DMV record will be pulled. Must be willing to travel throughout Montana, work in all weather conditions, and be able to physically perform job duties. Must be computer literate, organized and ability to follow instructions. Must be able to work from ladders and lifts up to 40 feet or more. Must be able to work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer's requirements. Must be able to perform work from unusual and sometimes difficult positions, and move/lift up to 100 lbs. unassisted. Applicant will perform service work, inspections, and install fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential properties, including start up through final testing. Maintain a clear and safe work area.
