You are invited to "Coffee with the Mayor," which is happening on Saturday, September 12.

One of the things I value most about serving as Mayor is simply having the opportunity to listen. That’s exactly what Coffee with the Mayor is about.

Join me Saturday, September 12, from 9:00–11:00 AM in the Council Chambers at Helena City Hall.

There’s no formal agenda and no speeches, just coffee and conversation. Come ask a question, share an idea, talk about something happening in your neighborhood, or simply stop in and say hello.

I’m incredibly thankful for the people who make Helena such a special place to call home, and I believe our community is stronger when we take the time to talk with one another.

Come for a few minutes or stay awhile. The coffee will be ready, and I’d love to see you!

In observance of Labor Day, City of Helena administrative offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026.

🗑️ Garbage and recycling collection services will operate one day behind schedule for the entire week. Residents are encouraged to place carts at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on their adjusted collection day.

🚓🚒🚑 Although City administrative offices will be closed, our police, fire, and emergency response personnel will remain on duty and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve and assist Helena residents.

We wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable Labor Day holiday!

📢 Helena City Council Meeting Recap – August 24, 2026
The Helena City Council met on Monday, August 24, and addressed several important items affecting our community.
Highlights included: ✅ Approval of the Rebuild Alabama transportation plan ✅ Recognition of former Helena High School Wrestling Captain Jace McGuire ✅ Presentation of a grant from State Representative Kenneth Paschal to the Jane B. Holmes Public Library ✅ Discussion of proposed ordinances related to future development and land use ✅ Updates on City Park renovations and future sports complex planning ✅ Public comments regarding transparency, community engagement, and local initiatives
The Council also received updates from Mayor Billy Rosener on ongoing city projects, public safety improvements, and the dedication of Helena's employees.

Reunited with the owner! Found at Rockhampton Circle. They are currently a resident at the City of Helena Kennel. Please contact HPD at 205.663.2161. The dog is female.
