The Mother Ginger Club A role in Stevan Grebel's The Nutcracker, which is annually fulfilled for 15 years by a City of Pelham official. Who will be the 2012 Mother Ginger?

Working with the kids on the arts is what it’s all about. Each year the City of Pelham graciously appoints a city official to the role of Mother Ginger in the Alabama Youth Ballet Company's production of The Nutcracker. The first was
Mayor Bobby Hayes, followed by: Chief (now Mayor) Gary Waters, Chief Daniel Endress, Mayor Don Murphy, Fire Marshall Dewitt Marcrum, Parks & Recreation's Billy Cranda

ll and Chief Danny Ray. And we won't forget those who are the "wind beneath the wings"...those who are underneath and gliding the skirt onstage: Ricky Martin, Gary Waters, Daniel Endress, John Hollingsworth to mention. The children are joyously awaiting this announcement!
