The Hellertown Borough Authority needs to conduct an emergency water line repair in the below indicated area. During this repair, residents may experience low pressure and/or discolored water. YARD WASTE COLLECTION


The public is advised that the Borough of Hellertown will be making a community-wide, curbside yard waste collection during the week of September 28, 2026. Collections will generally follow the weekly trash collection schedule. Residents having yard waste for collection are advised to place it at their normal collection location the evening before the usual trash pick-up date. All yard waste for collection should be clearly separated from garbage, bundled with string, bagged in biodegradable PAPER bags (no plastic bags will be collected) or contained, and of reasonable weight so that it can safely be lifted by an employee into the collection truck hopper. Only the following material, free of garbage, will be accepted: leaves, small brush (up to 4” in diameter and no longer than 6 feet), hedge trimmings, and garden plant residue. NO GRASS, SOD, OR TREE STUMPS WILL BE ACCEPTED, NOR WILL COMMERCIAL BUSINESS MATERIALS BE ACCEPTED. FOR SAFETY REASONS, YARD WASTE THAT IS NOT BUNDLED, BAGGED IN BIODEGRADABLE PAPER BAGS OR CONTAINED, OR IS TOO HEAVY FOR AN INDIVIDUAL TO LIFT INTO THE TRUCK WILL NOT BE COLLECTED. NO PLASTIC BAGS WILL BE COLLECTED!!

Please be advised that the Yard Waste Compost Center is open to receive yard waste. The Center is only open on Saturdays until June 12, 2026. Starting June 12, 2026, the compost center will be open Fridays and Saturdays (except for July 4th & 5th), from 9 AM to 1 PM, through November 21, 2026, and is located at 2011 Springtown Hill Road. Please note, mulch is only available on Saturdays.

26-ZHB-04: 60 Main Street - The Appeal of Limantour Properties LLC pursuant to 450-75(D) – Applicant is appealing Formal Enforcement Notice(s) dated July 15, 2026 regarding the failure to obtain required Land Development approval for the proposed parking lot prior to implementation, exceeding the approved scope of use of the property, third party leasing of the property and unauthorized vehicular access to the subject parcel from the adjoining roadway.

Public Notice
Upcoming Utility Survey Work in Hellertown Borough

Residents of Hellertown Borough are advised that Katapult Engineering, a certified contractor working on behalf of PPL, will be conducting utility pole surveying and power line engineering work throughout the borough beginning the week of August 31, 2026.

Survey crews will be taking photographs and measurements of utility poles and related infrastructure. Most of the work will be performed along roadways and sidewalks. In some locations, crew members may need to access portions of private property to safely reach utility poles and complete required measurements.

Crews and vehicles will be clearly identifiable and will typically include personnel wearing high-visibility safety vests and hard hats, along with clearly marked vehicles.

Residents may notice survey crews in the area during this work. This activity is routine utility surveying being performed on behalf of PPL and is intended to support ongoing utility engineering and infrastructure planning.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding while this work is being completed in the community.
