Dewey Fire Company No 1 Ambulance

We provide ALS and BLS emergency 911 coverage to the Borough of Hellertown and the Township of Lower Saucon. We also provide mutual aid ALS and BLS service to numerous neighboring communities. We operate a fleet of 4 transport capable ambulances, 1 BLS quick response vehicle, and 1 transport capable John Deere Gator UTV. We are staffed with ALS coverage 24 hours/day and BLS coverage from 8am-10pm.

Our employees are primarily career staff and are staffed at our Durham St location. We respond to over 2,500 911 requests each year. We provide hundreds of hours of standby coverage to Lehigh University, Northampton County Fire School, Bethlehem Catholic High School, and the Pocono Raceway each year. Our ambulances are all equipped with Panasonic Toughbook computers for PCR documentation, LifeSTAT mechanic CPR devices, KNOX box key release system, and KNOX medvault medication storage lockers. Our ALS units are all equipped with Lifepak 15 monitor/defibrillators with the ability to upload cardiac monitor data directly into emsCharts mobile. We take great pride in our well maintained fleet of ambulances that are all outfitted with the best equipment possible to be used in treating the ill or injured that depend on our service.
