My wife & I were honored to attend the K9s For Warriors 15 year anniversary celebration in Helotes this weekend, hosted by Ivan & Terri Ujueta and Bill Taylor & Jamie Chisolm Taylor. It was a great evening of conversation and fellowship, brightened even more by the presence of several warriors and their dogs. What a great evening, and what a great organization!

After 25 years, I attended my last meeting of the Helotes Planning and Zoning Commission earlier this week. It was a bittersweet moment. My time on the Commission has helped shape my views of the City and given me experiences that will benefit me as I move on to City Council.

It’s been an honor to work along so many dedicated citizens on the Commission over the years, including Ron Hozza, Alex Blue, Michael McGlothing, Bob Cage, Richard Hawk, Dave Cato, Buck Russel, Helotes City Council Member, Place 5, Jason Wightman, Justin Hansen, Jaime Sandoval, and Anne Carraway, who like me will take her place on City Council later this month.
