Movie night is still on!

With the weather looking changeable, we've set up the big screen in the Helvetia Zion Presbyterian Church, just next door. Please enter through the ramp to the Sunday School room to try not to track too much mud inside.

Many thanks to the Church Elders for the use of their space on a rainy evening. Since we're a nonprofit and the Church is a church, there'll be no betting on whether the power goes out just as everyone gets settled, but, you know. Knock on wood.

Our hearts are with everyone affected by the recent Lewis/Upshur County flooding. Many families have experienced devastating loss, and now is the time for our community to come together and help however we can.

If you’re able, please consider donating non-perishable food, bottled water, cleaning supplies, toiletries, diapers, pet food, or other essential items. Every donation, no matter the size, can make a meaningful difference.

Please drop off all donations at Swiss Roots, Monday–Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We will be taking in a truckload next Friday the 31st of July.

Thank you for showing the kindness and generosity that make our community so special. Together, we can help our neighbors begin to rebuild. ❤️

We are excited to host a series of hybrid virtual / in-person alphorn lessons with Toby Cisin and other instructors. A community horn will be available at the Library for practice and learning!

The first lesson is at 3pm next Tuesday, 28 July. Helvetia not pictured below, but this could be you!

Join us for an outdoor screening of the 1999 classic "October Sky" at the Library! (Rain date to be announced as needed.) Bring a couple camp chairs or a blanket and we'll see if the ole air popper in the supply closet actually works.

11th August, 6pm start time. And, yes, we have the book. Two copies---and the next two in the series.
