Inland Chapter meeting was on May 8th! Thank you to Mike Leow from Tracker products for coming out and reminding us how important it is and how easy having current technology is for our Property Rooms! We also had a training on Cyber Crimes presented by Officer Crowther from the Fontana School Police Department. Thank you to those that were able to attend! We had an amazing turn out! We look forward to seeing you in Chino, July 10th at our next chapter meeting!

CAPE Inland Chapter will be hosting a one day training seminar at Corona Police on Sept. 13, 2017! We will have 4 training sessions offered with a tentative class list including Cell Phone Forensics, Active Shooter, Hazmat/Bomb Squad and Firearm Information.

The annual CAPE training seminar wrapped up on Friday, April 7 in Anaheim, CA. Excellent job by the Orange County, San Diego and Greater LA chapters this year!!! We would like to give a huge congratulations to all of the award recipients! With a very special shout out to the Inland Chapter POOTY, Elizabeth Dominik from the SBSO Crime Lab, who had her whole crew there with her to celebrate! Congrats Liz!
It was a fantastic event, we can't wait until 2018 in Monterey!

Hello all, please consider supporting a fellow LEO from our Inland Chapter members at Indio Police...

Jeff Merritt is an Indio Police Sergeant who was seriously injured in an on-duty traffic collision on October 9, 2016. Sgt. Merritt was riding his department motor unit when the driver of an SUV turned in front of him. Jeff was ejected from his bike and landed several feet away in the roadway. He suffered many severe injuries, but has been fighting to overcome them. His determination and efforts are truly remarkable. He has been an inspiration to many people including myself. He has a long journey to full recovery ahead of him and now we want to give him some inspiration.

We decided to create the “Run for W310” performance/workout shirts to help us. This is NOT a fundraiser, this is an opportunity to come together as a community and support Jeff on his journey. We are hoping people all over will wear these shirts at the gym, at races, team runs, walks, hikes, or anytime you are doing anything to improve your journey!

Whatever travels your journey takes you on, take a picture of yourself wearing your “Run for W310” shirt and post it to any social media with the hashtag . As a group we can create a tapestry for Jeff for inspiration and hope! And in turn you can share the inspiration and hope you get from Jeff and his journey.

This post is public, please share this on your page and for anyone out of the area, we will ship your shirt to you once we get them. Even if you do not get a shirt, a photo of you supporting Jeff in some way would be amazing and just make sure to tag it .

For those we live near the Coachella Valley, our goal is to get a group of MerrittStrong participants at the Run for IKE 5k in Palm Springs at April 1, 2017!
