A NEW CHAPTER FOR SABINE COUNTY

Today marks a new chapter in leadership for Sabine County as two new county officials were sworn into office.
Richard A. Barnett officially takes the helm as Sabine County Judge, while Robert G. Neal III assumes his new role as Sabine County Attorney.
We congratulate Judge Barnett and County Attorney Neal as they begin their service to the citizens of Sabine County. Public service carries great responsibility, and we wish them both wisdom, success, and strength as they work on behalf of our county.
Thank you to our outgoing County Judge, Daryl Melton for his many years of service. Please join us in congratulating them and wishing them the very best as they begin this new chapter of service to Sabine County!

Public Service Announcement - Burn Ban Update
UPDATE:
Due to the current weather situation and future weather outlook. The burn ban has been extended for the next 35 days.
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED by the Commissioners court of Sabine County that all outdoor burning is prohibited in the unincorporated area of the county for 35 days from the date of adoption of this Order, unless the restrictions are terminated earlier based on a determination made by: (1) the Texas Forest Service that drought conditions no longer exist; or (2) the Commissioner Court or the County Judge based on a determination that the circumstances that required the Order no longer exist.
