On June 6th the National Association of Puerto Rican-Hispanic Social Workers ( NAPRHSW) recognized HCC's CEO, Claudia Boyle, with the "Distinguished Leadership Award" at their Annual Cruise for Social Justice Scholarship Fundraiser.

Congratulations to Claudia, and the other honorees!

The NAPRHSW strengthens, develops, and improves resources and services that support students and professionals and raises scholarship funds which have supported 128 students, investing $144,000 in the next generation of Latino social workers and mental health professionals.

“Being able to turn my own past struggles into a source of support and encouragement for families is especially meaningful and fulfilling to me. I enjoy guiding families through educational, healthcare, and mental health resources while helping them feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way.”

Our Family Peer Support Services program connects families with advocates who have lived experience and understand the challenges caregivers face. Through guidance, support, and community resources, they help families feel empowered and supported every step of the way.

Families deserve support, and caregivers deserve time to recharge. 💙

HCC’s Family Peer Support and Respite Services (FPSS) help families raising children and youth ages 6–21 with identified challenges by offering support that can reduce family stress and encourage growth.

Through respite services, children can participate in tutoring, socialization, recreational activities, educational support, and group experiences that help build confidence and connection.
