In light of a recent fires including a fatal fire in the Village, Truck 1 partnered with the Hempstead Village Police adopt a cop program. Captain Hendry and members visited Mrs Walker-Browns 4 th grade class. We answered questions the children had about fires. Then spoke about fire prevention and safety. We gave the class a challenge to take fire safety home to their families. We are working with their teachers and will return when the challenge is complete.

FD was Alerted for a house fire at 106 Oak Street
arrived, A working fire was transmitted. The alarm would reach 2 Bells & multiple mutual aid depts were requested.

Reminder to shovel the fire hydrants near your house. Today the Bellmore FD had a fatal fire and trouble with unshoveled hydrants. Also included are photos of members of Plainview FD and NCPD Officers in North Bellmore shoveling hydrants at a recent fires around Nassau County.
