Just wanted to thank everyone that supported (and voted) over the past few weeks! Yes, victory this year was not measured by defeat over another, rather, it was found in our continuing and unyielding engagement with Hofstra students. We couldn't give you all a choice, but we gave you the podium to express your vision for a better University life. And we listened. When face to face, we didn't let our conversations be engulfed by what have become almost habitual frustrations. Instead, we directed our attention and energy to fixing them, not through traditional dichotomist delegation, but through a new philosophy of coming together. We hope it is in those conversations that you took away an entitled accountability and sense of comfort that democracy should provide. Some say we ran unopposed; we like to say we ran unified in the purpose of a better, more together Hofstra.

Ubuntu. That's our word.
