🚨 Another important scam reminder🚨

Scammers continue to impersonate law enforcement officers and other county officials. They may claim you missed jury duty, have an active warrant, or owe a fine. They may even spoof a legitimate phone number and insist on staying on the phone with you until payment is made.

If someone pressures you to pay immediately using gift cards, cryptocurrency, payment apps, wire transfers, or “safe pay” barcodes, hang up. It is a scam.

Do not send money or share personal information. Call the Waller County Sheriff’s Office directly at (979) 826-8282 to verify the call.

Remember, if you have a warrant, law enforcement will not call to warn you or allow you to pay it over the phone.

🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT – BROOKSHIRE 🚨

Multiple railroad crossings in Brookshire are currently closed due to a train derailment.

Union Pacific is working to clear the crossings and reopen the roadways as quickly as possible.

⚠️ The only open railroad crossing at this time is Depot Street at Kenny Street.

Please avoid the area if possible, expect delays, and use alternate routes. We will provide updates as crossings reopen.
