The City of Henderson's Halloween Bash is coming up on Friday, October 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Central Park!

We're inviting local organizations, businesses, churches, clubs and community groups to join the fun by signing up for a booth and handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. 🍬🍭

Congratulations to Luke Cates on graduating from DOCJT Public Safety Dispatch Academy today!
Luke has done an amazing job throughout his training, and we are so proud of his hard work and success. Also- shoutout to CTO, Maggie Driskell who has played such an important role in helping prepare and support him along the way.

Before we close out September, we have two important milestones to recognize!

Congratulations to Meagan Collier and Megan Coker on 3 years with Henderson 911!

While we’re celebrating three years with our agency, the experience and knowledge they bring to our team extends well beyond that. Both Meagan and Megan bring strong critical-thinking skills, a great work ethic, and valuable experience to the communications center every day.

We are grateful for their dedication to Henderson 911, our responders, and the community we serve. Thank you both for all that you do, and congratulations on 3 years! 🎧💛

Prayers going up for Trooper Phillips family ♥️

Today, we face one of the most difficult moments an agency can endure as we announce the loss of one of our own. Trooper Hayden Phillips, Unit 369, made the ultimate sacrifice while
patrolling I-65 in Warren County. He was assigned to Post 3 Bowling Green and was a graduate of Cadet Class 103. His dedication to duty and commitment to the commonwealth will not
be forgotten.
Our hearts break for Trooper Phillips’ family, loved ones, and fellow troopers as we grieve this tremendous loss. We will carry his memory with us, honor the life he lived and the badge he wore, and stand together as an agency to support this family in the days ahead.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of longtime Smith Mills Fire Department Firefighter and Emergency Medical Responder Bettye Meyer, SMFD #633.

Throughout her many years of service, Bettye held numerous positions within the Smith Mills Fire Department and was a dedicated member of the department and the community. She was also instrumental in organizing the Fun Fair Days when the event was hosted by the SMFD.

If you knew Bettye, you knew how deeply she loved her family, her friends, her fire department, and her community. Her dedication and years of service touched countless lives, and her absence will be deeply felt throughout the Smith Mills community.

Please keep Bettye’s family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside her in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Bettye. Your service is complete, but your legacy will live on.
