Way to GROW! Week and Festival 2026 returns to Henderson, NC, August 17–22, 2026, with this year’s theme: ColorFestival Homecoming.

ColorFestival Homecoming is rooted in both memory and momentum. It honors the joy, color, creativity, and togetherness that people remember about the ColorFest, while also celebrating the energy surrounding the rightful and coming growth and development of our beautiful community. We are also asking: What seed are you planting?

This year’s festival will feature a full week of activities, culminating in festival day with art, music, vendors, and family-friendly experiences in downtown Henderson. The music lineup will be announced soon.

Vendors and visual artists are encouraged to apply through the website.

Festival merchandise is also available for pre-order online via Eventbrite or by calling Gateway CDC at 252.492.6898. Pre-orders directly support the success of the festival.

📢 Join us for a Community Dialogue & Dinner on June 25th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Ridgeway Fire Department! 🍽️

The first 25 attendees will receive a FREE delicious plate of BBQ! 🍖✨

This event will feature the Warren County Housing Coalition, who will share more about their mission, ways to build community support, and the importance of hearing directly from community members.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to share their housing experiences, personal stories, and ideas for strengthening housing support in Warren County. 🏠💬

📚☀️ Join us TOMORROW for Perry Memorial Library June 2026 Summer Reading Kick-Off Program for children!

Ashley Zuniga, the Safe Routes to School Regional Program Coordinator for Vance, Franklin, Warren, Person, and Granville counties, will be hosting a Safe Routes to School informational table at the event. Stop by to learn more about walking, biking, and staying safe on the way to school and throughout the community. 🚶‍♀️🚲🛑

Children will also have the opportunity to complete a fun StoryWalk activity on the library lawn! 📖🌳 After finishing the StoryWalk, participants will receive a small giveaway with free Safe Routes to School-related program items. 🎁✨

Stop by the library tomorrow from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, bring the family, enjoy the Summer Reading Kick-Off, and come say hello! 😊

🚨 REMINDER 🚨 ONE DAY LEFT! Join us **TOMORROW** for the 2026 Region K Elder Abuse Awareness & Prevention Conference & Walk. 💜

This FREE and PUBLIC event will take place on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM at the Warren County Armory Convention Center in Warrenton, NC.

We invite community members to wear purple and silver as we come together to raise awareness, show support, and stand against elder abuse. Free t-shirts, lunch, and goodies will be available while supplies last.
