FEMA and SBA are set up behind City Hall this week through Saturday, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day. They are on site to answer questions and provide assistance to both individuals and businesses with damage as a result of Winter Storm Fern (Incident dates of Jan 21-27, 2026).

Chester County has had over 100 households that have applied for FEMA assistance so far and some have already received money. This does have a deadline coming up so If you think you have some eligible expenses from the Ice Storm please register and apply. This is a simple process and if you have damage insurance did not cover it or any extra expense or loss due to the ice storm event this is for you.
We are set up at the old bank parking lot behind City Hall and here to assist you in the process. We are here for you, but you have to register or you will miss out.

Attention Chester County residents!!!!!!!!

The Mobile Disaster Recovery Center will be in Henderson tomorrow through Saturday in the parking lot behind City Hall to help you file for financial recovery related to the Ice Storm (Winter Storm Fern). If you have already stopped by this location that was just to register and you still need to complete the application and submit your losses to get any reimbursements.

Any and all expenses related to the winter event can be claimed.

Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers
Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers are available to survivors who need in-person support for applying for FEMA assistance, applying for low-interest loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration, understanding application status, resolving issues, or accessing other resources.

Mobile DRC hours will be Monday through Saturday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. CT. Beginning Sunday May 10, all Mobile DRCs and DRCs in the state will be closed on Sundays. The Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers are going to be in various counties over the next several weeks. The days of operation and locations can be found below. Please be sure to check this page before you visit to ensure none of the details have changed.
