Timothy Oliver, the escapee from Henderson County Detention Center, has been located in the area of Reed and is now back in custody.

A huge thank you to the community for any and all information they gave to law enforcement to bring him back in custody safely.

The Kentucky State Police has been working this case all night with the help of the Henderson Police Department, and the Henderson County Sheriff's Office.

We appreciate the dedication of all law enforcement for their swift and effective work in helping to locate and apprehending him safely.

Kentucky Call Center Still Available to Assist Storm Survivors

Help is still only a phone call away if you’ve filed for federal assistance for damage or losses you suffered in the severe storms, straight-line winds, flooding, landslides, and mudslides of February 14 to March 7, 2025.

KYEM & FEMA Individual Assistance Specialists are answering survivors’ calls in the Commonwealth’s Unmet Needs Call Center at 502-607-6665.

The deadlines to file claims have passed, but if you’ve already applied, you’ll find experienced agents to review your case.

• Make an appointment to meet in person.
• Check the status of appeals or confirm processing decisions,
• Confirm whether FEMA has received documents you submitted,
• Find out whether you need to submit more information to determine whether you’re eligible for help,
• Get clarification on correspondence after a missed call or text,
• Or get support for more complex issues.

You also can find help online at disasterassistance.gov or by downloading the FEMA App.

This is the latest communication alerting tool EMA is using to provide you with real-time alerts directly to your mobile device.

Some alerts will include traffic-related issues. For example:
"Highway 41 North is shut down for approximately 2–3 hours between Zion Road and the Cloverleaf due to a vehicle accident. Please use an alternate route." Again, this is only an example.

Alerts also include severe weather notifications. For example: ozone alerts, extreme cold and heat warnings, high winds, severe thunderstorms, and tornado warnings. Each alert may include a map of the affected area and any other releasable documents or images. NOTE: This is just 1 more way to receive emergency alerts.

Just scan the QR Code on the attached flyer, read about the service and install the app at the bottom of the screen to get connected with Henderson EMA.
