I’m bringing you today’s Chamber minute. Kerr-Tar Area Agency on Aging will host the Region K Elder Abuse Awareness & Prevention Conference & Walk on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 10 am until 2 pm at the Warren County Armory Convention Center located at 501 US Highway 158 Bus E, Warrenton. This event is free and open to the public. Free t-shirts, lunch and goodies will be available until they run out. They request that you wear purple and silver to show the world that you care about ending elder abuse and/or decorate your vehicle in support. I’m bringing you today’s Chamber minute. On Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10 am until 1:00 pm, Ruin Creek Animal Protection Shelter presents 2026 Dog Fair for Dogs & their People at 165 US HWY 158 Bypass, Henderson. Free entry for pet’s family and $20 VIP Pooch pass. All friendly dogs are welcome and must be leashed. There will be games for pups, K-9 Demonstrations, midway show, featuring the trainer from Next Level Pet Resort, rabies clinic & adoptable pets from Vance County Animal Shelter. Food, drink & merchandise vendors, photo booth raffle prizes and much more will be available. There will be fun for the whole family. For more information, call 252-572-2219.
