⛳ WE ARE OFFICIALLY FULL! 🚒

The inaugural Watkins Volunteer Fire Department Golf Classic has officially filled our expanded 30-team field!

The response to this tournament has been outstanding. If you’re still interested in playing, please reach out. We are starting a waitlist in the event a team has to drop out between now and November 6.

While the team field is full, we are still actively and aggressively pursuing sponsors at ALL levels. There are plenty of opportunities available for businesses, organizations, and individuals who want to support the tournament and Watkins Fire Department.

Every sponsorship, donation, and contribution goes directly toward supporting the operations of our department and helping us continue to serve our community.

30 teams. 120 golfers. One great cause.

Thank you to everyone who has already registered, sponsored, donated, or helped us get the word out. We’re looking forward to a great first year!

🏌️ WATKINS GOLF CLASSIC UPDATE ⛳️

The response to our first annual Watkins Golf Classic has been outstanding!

We made the decision to expand the field to 30 teams, and we are now down to LESS THAN FIVE team spots remaining! Once those final spots are filled, we will officially begin a waitlist.

We are also still actively seeking sponsors at multiple levels. If you or your business would like to support Watkins Fire Department while getting your name in front of golfers, local businesses, and members of our community, we would love to have you involved.

‼️After a lot of years in this business, you learn pretty quickly that no department can do it all by themselves.

Having the right resources in the county and knowing they’re available when the call comes in is what matters. This air trailer is another piece of that. We have multiple trucks across the county that are capable of refilling bottles but with this we have a mobile resource that’s capable of filling those trucks as well as scuba bottles, stand alone cascade systems etc.

We may wear different patches and answer to different boards, but when the tones drop, we’re all there for the same reason.

Good addition for Vance County and for every department that serves it‼️

We’re excited to announce the Inaugural Watkins Fire Department Golf Classic!

We’ve been working behind the scenes to put together a great day of golf, food, prizes, and fellowship — all while raising money that goes directly back into the operations of Watkins Fire Department.

We’ll have room for 24 teams, and we expect those spots to fill up quickly. Team entry is $400 for a four-person team and includes green fees, cart, lunch, mulligans, goodie bags, and eligibility for all tournament prizes.

We also have several sponsorship opportunities available for businesses and individuals who would like to support the event and our department.

This is our first year, and our goal is to make the Watkins Golf Classic something our community looks forward to every year.

We’re down to less than 60 days until our Fall Chicken & BBQ Plate Sale!

Because of your continued support, we’ve sold out the last five plate sales, and every one of them was gone early in the afternoon. We can’t thank this community enough.
