Making our little corner of the world a cleaner place, one bleacher at a time!

A big THANK YOU to CAREribean for tackling a job that doesn’t exactly make anyone’s list of favorite things to do… cleaning UNDER the bleachers! 😅

They got into the places most of us would rather pretend don’t exist and left them looking so much better.

We appreciate CAREribean and the care they put into helping us keep our Salvation Army facilities clean, welcoming and ready for the children, families and community members who use them every day.

Sometimes making the world a better place starts with taking care of the little piece of it right in front of you… or, in this case, right underneath the bleachers! ❤️🧹

Getting ready for our kids is part of the fun!

Our Red Shield Youth Center team loves preparing each day for the children who walk through our doors. Today, that meant creating colorful, fun and encouraging posters to help make our space a place where kids feel welcomed, supported and excited to be here! ✂️🖍️✨

And judging by this photo, the kids aren’t the only ones who get to have a little fun! 😄

We’re grateful for a team that understands that the little things matter. A kind word. An encouraging message. A welcoming space. Someone who’s genuinely happy to see you.

That’s what we want every child to find at the Red Shield Youth Center. ❤️

Registration will be ONLINE ONLY on October 5, 2026 starting at 7am until spaces are filled.

Serving children ages 12 and under

Our Salvation Army Family Store has a little bit of EVERYTHING… and we could use a few extra hands to help us keep it all moving!

👕 Love organizing? Hang clothes!
📚 Books are your happy place? Straighten our shelves!
🏺 Like arranging all the little treasures? Put out knickknacks!
🧹 Find sweeping oddly satisfying? We have floors! 😂
📦 Want to get a little exercise? Help bring in donations!
🛒 People person? Help customers with their purchases!
🔌 Love tinkering with electronics? Yep… we’ve got something for you, too!

Seriously, there is something for just about everybody at our Family Store.

You don’t have to volunteer every day. You don’t even need a whole day. If you have just a few hours a week, we can put those hours to good use. 💪

Come serve, meet some great people, sort through some interesting treasures, and help our Family Store support the work of The Salvation Army in our community.

🚫 PLEASE DON’T LEAVE DONATIONS OUTSIDE WHEN WE’RE CLOSED

We are incredibly grateful for every person who chooses to donate to The Salvation Army Family Store. Your donations help support our work and ministry in the community. ❤️

But we need your help with something important.

Please do not leave donations outside the store when we are closed, especially on Sundays.

Items left outside often never make it into our store. Before our staff returns, bags may be opened and items scattered or taken. Animals can get into them, and rain, moisture, dirt, and other outdoor elements can quickly ruin perfectly good donations.

Unfortunately, once that happens, items that could have been sold to support our mission often have to be thrown away.

Your donation deserves better than the dumpster. If we’re closed, please take your donations home and bring them back when we’re open.

Thank you for helping us be good stewards of the items you so generously give. When you donate responsibly, you help us turn gently used belongings into resources that serve people right here in our community. ❤️

What a blessing to be worshiping in our chapel again today! 🙌

There is something special about gathering together, lifting our voices, opening God’s Word, praying together, and simply being in His presence.

Today, our hearts are grateful. Our chapel is filled with worship again, and we are GLAD to be in the house of the Lord! ❤️🙏

Vance Charter students are back in action!

Our student volunteers are rolling up their sleeves and helping pack bags for our food pantry, and they are loving every minute of it!

There’s something special about seeing young people discover the joy of serving others. Every bag they pack will help provide food for a neighbor or family right here in our community.

We are so thankful for these students, their willing hands, great attitudes, and hearts for service. This is what community looks like: people of all ages coming together to care for one another.

Way to go, Vance Charter! We’re glad to have you serving alongside us at The Salvation Army. ❤️
