The Kesterson PTA works to provide a sense of community and family involvement within our school, and your support is essential! Here are a few answers to frequently asked questions about PTA membership:

Where does my $10 membership dues go?
• $2.25 to National PTA (the largest child advocate organization)
• $2.25 to Nevada PTA
• $0.50 to Insurance
• $5.00 to Kesterson Elementary PTA

What do we spend money on? Fall Festival, Bingo Nights, Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, Ornament Night, Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/ Son Dance, Teacher Appreciation gifts, Caught You Reading books/ reward parties, 5th grade BBQ, Kindergarten promotion, teacher requests for classroom supplies, etc. Do I have to come to a monthly meeting? We hold quarterly general membership meetings. Members are welcome, but not required to attend. Being a member does not require any commitment of your time. With that said, we are an organization run by volunteers, so if you are interested in volunteering, we definitely welcome the support!

Calling all Kesterson parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings & grown-ups! 🎸🖤 You don’t have to be “that parent” who can volunteer every week. You just have to show up and be part of the community.

From 9/2–9/15, we’re making membership a little more emo, a lot more fun, and ALL about our Kesterson kids. 🖤

Kesterson PTA is looking to team up with local businesses and community partners to help make a bigger impact for our students, families, and staff!

We’re looking for community partners who are willing to donate, sponsor, provide discounts, or simply collaborate with us throughout the school year. This could look like:

✨ Sponsoring a PTA event or activity
🎟️ Donating gift cards, prizes, or supplies
🍎 Providing food or refreshments for events
💰 Making a monetary donation
🤝 Offering a special fundraiser or percentage-back night
📣 Partnering with us to support a school initiative
💚 Simply helping us connect with other local businesses

In return, we’d love to shout you out on our social media, recognize your business at events, include you in PTA communications, and find creative ways to highlight the businesses supporting Kesterson.
