We don't say good-bye. We say carry on!! Congratulations to the Leadership-Vance Class of 2026. Graduation was held on August 27th at the Kerr Lake Country Club with 70 people in attendance. These 18 leaders completed the Leadership-Vance Program and are ready to continue to serve our great community. We are very grateful to all the businesses who opened their doors to give tours, give gifts, supply meals and answer questions from the participants. Chamber Board Chair, Dr. Abidan Shah, welcomed everyone to the graduation meal and ceremony and gave an uplifting speech focused on "what now". Graduates Nicole Shah had the invocation, Janice Ward and Robert Bowen provided reflections of the last 7 months, Whitney Davis and Rhonda Long provided information on the class project, Whitney Davis had a photo slide show and Renee Perry had closing remarks and gave her thoughts, hopes and dreams for the future of the class. Dr. Shah and Board Member David Figueroa presented the graduates with their awards as Sandra Wilkerson provided remarks about each participant. Thanks so much to our sponsors, Benchmark Community Bank, Walmart Distribution, and Karts Transportation.
Leadership is not about titles, positions, or flowcharts. it is about one life influencing another. - John C. Maxwell
Leadership-Vance 2027 applications will be accepted in January 2027. Stay tuned for more information.

We are proud to celebrate our 2026 VGCC Small Business of the Year, Healing Synergy, LLC! πŸ’™

Dr. Kavitha Krishnan recently represented small business owners in Washington, D.C., taking part in important conversations on Capitol Hill about the issues impacting small businesses and the communities they serve.

This is a wonderful example of small business advocacy in actionβ€”using your voice, experience, and expertise to help shape opportunities for entrepreneurs and the communities they support. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ›οΈ

Congratulations, Dr. Kavitha, on being a strong voice for small businesses! We are honored to recognize Healing Synergy, LLC as our 2026 Small Business of the Year. πŸŽ‰

Thank you for sharing your experience and reminding us that when small businesses have a voice, communities benefit. πŸ’™

Small business advocation
July was a powerful month for small business advocacy in Washington, D.C.! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ›οΈ

Dr. Kavitha had the opportunity to join nearly 20 small business owners brought together by Small Business Majority on Capitol Hill to discuss the top issues impacting small businesses with members of the New Democrat Coalition.

As a small business owner and healthcare professional, Dr. Kavitha was proud to have her voice represented in conversations that can help shape policies and opportunities for small businesses and the communities they serve. πŸ’™

At Healing Synergy, we believe that advocating for small businesses means advocating for the families, employees, and communities they support.

Thank you, Small Business Majority, for creating opportunities for small business owners to make their voices heard! ✨ The link for the article: https://smallbusinessmajority.org/blog/when-small-businesses-went-washington-and-washington-listened
