On Staturday, the 15th of November, dedicated members from multiple agencies joined together for a day of specialized rescue training and fellowship. These members either learned new heavy rescue skills or reinforced existing skills while tackling large (heavy) vehicle extrication scenarios. Thank you to Hicksboro Volunteer Fire Department, Henderson Fire Department, Vance County Rescue, Stovall Volunteer Fire Department, Antioch Fire Department, and of course Fred’s Towing and Transport for your dedicated service to your communities.

Join us in celebrating our achievement of gaining several state rescue certifications! We are pleased to say that the Hicksboro Fire Department has been inspected by the NC Association of Rescue and Emergency Medical Services, Inc and recognized for its member certifications and the specialized equipment required to achieve such a high standard of service delivery to its community. These certifications include Heavy Rescue Provider, High Angle Rescue Provider, and Agricultural Rescue Provider. These certifications are on the heels of a recent ISO Inspection in which we improved our insurance rating from a 6 to a 5, delivering savings to businesses and residences in our response area. Great job on both by these dedicated members!
