Congratulations and welcome to our three newest CCSDPD officers!
After successfully completing an intensive 20-week police academy, these dedicated officers are ready to begin the next step in their journey: field training next week.
We are proud of their hard work, commitment, and determination, and we look forward to watching them grow as they serve and support the students, staff, and families of the Clark County School District.

Today’s patrol took an unexpected turn when one of our CCSDPD motor officers helped round up a very curious pot-bellied pig!
This little piggy went to market.
This little piggy stayed home.
This little piggy had roast beef.
And this little piggy… got a police es**rt home!
Our motor officer made sure this oinkcident ended safely, returning our adventurous porcine friend to his family. Another day, another unusual call for service! 🐷🏍️👮‍♂️

School's back so please slow down!🚨🚸

Last week, our traffic unit stayed focused on keeping kids safe near schools, targeting:

🔹 Illegal U-turns in school zones
🔹 Speeding in school zones
🔹 Disregarding crossing guards
🔹 Illegal stopping/parking (dropping kids off in travel lanes)

Between Aug. 10 and Aug. 13, Henderson Police stopped 256 drivers, resulting in 155 citations and 101 warnings. Please remember to pay attention during pick-up and drop-off so we can all make this another safe school year.

A huge thank-you to the Las Vegas A’s for welcoming us into their new home while their future stadium is under construction. We appreciate your hospitality and the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and talk a little baseball along the way.
We’re especially excited about future opportunities to partner with the A’s on initiatives that enhance the lives of CCSD students and create positive experiences for the next generation.
We’re proud to support the A’s as they build their next chapter in Las Vegas. We can’t wait to see the new stadium rise—and we’ll be cheering from the stands when it opens!

CCSDPD IS excited to participate in the 18th Annual Youth and Justice Forum, hosted by Nevada State Senator Dina Neal, in Las Vegas on September 12, 2026!
This inspiring event brings local young people and law enforcement officers together for meaningful conversations, positive connections, leading to the opportunity to build a safer, stronger community. We’re proud to be part of this important forum and look forward to engaging with youth, sharing resources, and supporting the leaders of tomorrow!

Last night was a great opportunity for CCSDPD to connect with the community at the Race to the Slide at the South Point.
CCSDPD’s Jaci Carlsen joined the action by running radar during the event, bringing a little law enforcement fun to an evening filled with speed, excitement, and friendly competition. The event was put on by Taylor Sheridan and hosted at South Point, with special recognition to Michael Gaughan, owner of South Point, for helping make it possible.
Events like this give CCSDPD the opportunity to engage with community members outside of the school environment and showcase the people behind the badge.
Great job, Jaci, and thank you to everyone who made it such a memorable night!
