Henderson County Foster Parent Assoc

The HCFPA…… Who are they? The Henderson County Foster Parent Association (HCFPA) works on behalf of children, foster parents and adoptive parents to facilitate good outcomes for everyone. The Association is a registered, tax exempt, non-profit organization recognized by the IRS under regulation 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Its activities are managed by a Board of Directors, each of whom is

a licensed foster parent in Henderson County. The Henderson County Foster Parent Association and the Department of Social Services wish to extend their gratitude to all who make it possible to continue with the following projects:

Maintaining a foster closet

Award a yearly scholarship to a worthy student in the foster care program for higher education. Support the annual Foster Children’s Christmas Party. Recognize Foster Children Birthday’s

Assist with ongoing educational opportunities for current foster and adoptive families

Partner with Henderson County DSS and other agencies to provide school supplies to all school age foster children. Continue with ongoing efforts to recruit and raise awareness of the need for foster families. These projects on average touch the lives of over a 150 children in Henderson County’s custody and 56 foster families who are currently licensed to serve them.
