Every child deserves to walk into the first day of school feeling ready and confident. We are collecting clothing for local kids in kindergarten through 5th grade, and we would love your help making that happen for families right here in Henderson County. 🍎
Most needed right now:

Boys large & XL tops and bottoms
Sneakers (sizes 12 kids – 10 adult)
New underwear and socks (all sizes)

We can use anything and everything. Shirts, pants, shoes, and more for K–5th grade. New or gently used clothing is always welcome.
Drop off Monday–Friday 9–3 at either location:

310 Freeman St (IAM Offices)
119 Jack St (IAM Thrift Store)

Thank you to Governor Stein for proclaiming June 2026 as Whole Child Health and Well-Being Month in North Carolina.

This milestone reflects the advocacy and leadership of the Decade of the Child team, an initiative of the National Prevention Science Coalition to Improve Lives (NPSC), which has worked at both the state and federal levels to advance policies and investments that support children's health, well-being, and lifelong success.

It takes all of us to continue building the positive experiences, strong relationships, and supportive communities that help all children thrive. https://www.npscoalition.org/post/north-carolina-proclaims-june-2026-as-whole-child-health-and-well-being-month
