It is a fun and proud end-of-school year tradition for our Admin and peers to present special awards and recognize staff talents and hard work that has made a another year a great year! Thank you to these individuals for making the grade in 2025-26! A BIG Shoutout to ALL staff at Sugarloaf Elementary School.

At the end of every school year, a few staff take a step away from the family such as to retire, relocate, or change a lifestyle. At the close of the 2025-2026 year, staff said heartfelt goodbyes, along with hearty Congratulations to retirees Ms. Freeman, Ms. Emma, Ms. Buch (not pictured), and Ms. Dorn, who is taking extra time off to be with family. We wish them all the very best in their next adventure! Always a Mountain Lion!

Congratulations to Ms. Freeman (on the right) who was recognized by her peers as 's 2026 Teacher Assistant of the Year! Ms. Freeman is everywhere all at once. When not directly working with students, she could be found doing big and small jobs all over the school, organizing lessons, copying material, laminating, escorting, whatever needed to be done! Ms. Freeman has served staff and students over 40 years with the and has been at Sugarloaf Elementary School since it opened in 2008!

Woo hoo! Congratulations to Joy, MacGyver, and Peyton, former elementary students who were awarded.their well-deserved diplomas, along with ao many others, at Graduation Ceremony Friday evening! So proud of their hard work and determination! Go Class of 2026!

Tonight two of our kindergarten leaders joined in a tradition at North Henderson High School. The class of 2026 was joined by future Knight graduates of the class of 2038 from each of their feeder schools. They were the “squires” for the graduating knights. These mini graduates saw some familiar faces in Ms. Oliver who spent time with Ms. Bailey’s kindergarten class and Luna and Carter who were once mountain lions themselves! We are so proud of the class of 2026! Congratulations graduates!

Thank you North Henderson High School for inspiring these students and showing them the possibilities that await them!

That’s a wrap on an incredible school year! To send off our mountain lions, teachers lined the sidewalk, smiling, cheering, and waving goodbye as our buses pulled away.

Have a safe, fun, and restful summer, Sugarloaf family—we can’t wait to see you back next year(in the jungle!)!
