Summer is the perfect time to kick back and explore the skies, and now you can do exactly that with Sky Explorers! Our second Project Next Generation grant-funded program launches in August, with registration opening in July. Participants will use telescopes and binoculars to discover nighttime and daytime objects while learning about the impact of light pollution.

The program is open to youth ages 11–14, with spots limited to just 12 participants. The six-week experience wraps up with an all-expenses-paid field trip to the Adler Planetarium in Chicago.

Interested? Contact Rachael Blomquist - Project Director/Mentor - at [email protected].
