I stopped on Sunday to take these pictures of the flowers. The park looks more beautiful and peaceful every year. Thanks Deb Miller for adding more flowers and grasses. Thanks to the City of Henning for donating the crushed asphalt for the parking lot and Gary and Sheryl Misegades for all of their work spreading fresh mulch and what they do. Gary got the fountain working again.

Thank you to Doug Trana who stopped at the park today and shared some photo's. A big shout out to Deb Miller who has been planting some more flowers and plants on the west end and Gary and Sheryl Misegades who have been pulling some weeds among the plants. The flowers are looking exceptional!!! Stop and take a stroll down memory lane of the many people who have served this great Country of ours with their military service.

Last Thursday we had a group of volunteers working at the park. Someone left their rake there that evening. If you are missing a new rake, it is at the park.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who were at the Park last night. I am overwhelmed with the generous donation of labor. We spread another 20 yards of new mulch plus multiple bags of mulch. Thanks to Deb Miller for adding some new plants with help from Sheri Fischer. Thanks to Gary and Sheryl Misegades for organizing the volunteers and delivering additional mulch.

Gary and Sheryl Misegades moved the mulch around to different areas. We would like to have a volunteer night on Thursday the 26th at 5:30pm. We could use 10-15 people with rakes to spread the mulch. Bring a rake and it will only take about one hour. Please stop over if you can.

We had 5 yards of new mulch delivered this morning. Will need a little help spreading it over the bare areas. Also sending in the order for 3 more stones of area veterans. At least one of these have already passed on. Don't wait until the veteran in your family has died to order a stone for him/her. Do it now!

I order a new set of flags for the park and they arrived last week! As soon as the snow goes away we will get the new ones installed.

We are still taking orders for honor stones for the park. Anyone who has served in the military and has a connection to the Henning/Vining area is eligible to purchase a granite stone for $150 and have it placed along the walk. We take orders during the year and then order them in the spring. Order forms are available from Mick Froslee or Bill Goepferd.
