The Lake Gaston Association (LGA) will hold its monthly membership meeting on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at the Lake Gaston Baptist Church, 2378 Eaton Ferry Road, Littleton, NC. (Located across from the LKG Chamber of Commerce and Subway Restaurant). Coffee and pastries from Lake Gaston Coffee Company will be available starting at 9:00 a.m., courtesy of the LGA.
The LGA is pleased to host a Sheriff’s forum focused on the competitive NC Sheriff races in Halifax and Northampton Counties. Join us to hear from incumbent Sheriffs Tyree Davis (Halifax County) and Jack Smith (Northampton County) along with their challengers Tracy Story (Halifax) and Tony Burnette (Northampton). The one-hour session will be moderated by Jim Nystrom, LGA Community & Government Relations Chair. Each candidate will be allocated 15 minutes to present their top three priorities around the Lake Gaston area and why they are the most qualified candidate for this leadership position. If you'd like to comment or ask questions in advance, email them to [email protected], and they will be shared with the moderator for possible inclusion in the session. There are also challengers for several County Commissioner positions. The LGA will host forums for those candidates at a later date - details coming soon.
