HCPS invites students, families, employees and members of the community to nominate HCPS staff members for the school division’s “Yay of the Day” honor!

Recipients will be selected from nominees who:

⭐️ Through actions big or small, have made someone’s day in a positive way.
⭐️ Embody the core values expressed in Journey to 2030, the division's strategic plan — helping build a school community guided by student-focused decisions and an environment of belonging, collaboration, innovation and equity.

During the 2026-27 school year, 100 recipients will be recognized by HCPS Superintendent Amy Cashwell on our social media pages and henricoschools.us!

Unlock your future at this year's LIFE-READY EXPO! 💼

The Life-Ready Expo — 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Hermitage High School — offers a unique, fast-paced environment where approximately 3,000 to 4,000 attendees can engage directly with more than 125 businesses and industry organizations! Participants will represent a wide range career sectors, including advanced manufacturing, healthcare, human services, trades, public service and safety.

This career exploration event is FREE and open to all local students in grades 6-12 and their families! You won't want to miss it!

Calling all HEROES! Make a difference for our students in the 2026-27 school year as a Henrico HEROES mentor! 😃

Henrico HEROES is a mentoring program for HCPS students, where motivated adults in our community create connections and help students develop in school and as people. All it takes is a short weekly commitment (30-45 minutes) from September through May to make an impact!
