RIP Holly Johnston!

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Captain Holly Johnston, our Clay County Jail Administrator. This loss is one that hits close to home for so many of us.

Holly was a proud Clay County native, a true leader, and someone who genuinely cared about her people. She was dedicated to her career and always led by example. She could be blunt when it was needed, but it always came from a place of honesty, fairness, and wanting the best for everyone. She told you what you needed to hear, not just what you wanted to hear.

What meant the most were the little things she did that showed her heart. She never forgot a birthday, always made sure offices were decorated, and loved planning surprises just to make someone feel special. Those small gestures meant everything and reminded us all how much she truly cared.

Holly loved her family deeply, and she treated her coworkers like family too. She was someone you could lean on, talk to, and trust. The love and compassion she showed every day will never be forgotten.

Please keep Holly’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Captain Holly Johnston will be deeply missed and always remembered.

For the tax auction this morning there is only one property left on the sale list all others are paid up. The property that is still listed is cause no: 23-039-DCCV-0138 City of Henrietta Vs. Barbara Hanselman.
