Official Legion meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm

Monthly Legion dinners are open to the public and begin at 5:00pm on the first Friday of every month. They vary between fish, fried chicken, and pork chops with sides. Prices are $11.00 for adults and $6.00

for children 12 and under. Our hall is available wedding receptions, birthday parties, any other events you have in mind. We can provide catering services also. For rental information and pricing, please contact Troy Robertson (309) 643-2692.

Tuesday August 4th, PROGRESSIVE GAME WILL START AT $397 IN 27 BALLS OR LESS. The meal will be a pasta dinner. Come out and welcome Real Ball Bingo back. Doors open at 630, with Bingo at 7.

Due to conditions along and behind the river, the fireworks will be set off at a different location. You will be allowed to park at the Marshall Putnam fairgrounds to watch. Please be aware there are safety distance restrictions set by the ATF. Anywhere north of the grandstand is prohibited. Anywhere north of will be strictly restricted. Person’s parking or staging in, north or west of the infield will be be asked to leave. Parking will also be restricted near or on business properties north of the fairgrounds. We also ask that what you bring in you take out with you. This is a great gift from the fair board and we don’t want to lose this opportunity in the future if ever needed in the future. The wrong size chicken came in for the FREEDOM PAWS Chicken Fry July 1st at the Legion. Because the chicken is a little smaller than the usual Legion Dinners, the Legion and Freedom Paws have decided to reduce the cost from $12 to $10. Thanks for your understanding and support!

VETERANS WANTED

The Henry American Legion Post 323 will have a low, covered trailer available as a float in the 4th of July Parade for Veterans. The theme this year is “250th”ki. If anyone would like to be on the float, please contact Roger Hofer at 309-657-4992.

We are still planning on having Fireworks along the river. Of course due to the height of the water we will not be using the beach. We do have a location behind our normal spot we can use. If anything changes we definitely let everyone know. You can stop by the Legion or raffle ticket tent at the park for updates.
